My name is Nathan Bauer, a resident here in Richfield, and for the past six weeks I’ve been walking to develop good fitness habits to improve my overall health. I decided to join a big event on August 2nd — the Urban Wildland 5K in Richfield. I thought it was also a great way to raise money for the Richfield Historical Society (RHS), where I work, to spread the word about my paid internship at the RHS, where I am work on special projects for them. In the beginning, my goal was to raise $500 by August 2nd. Since then, I’ve raised funds at three events setting up tables to bring awareness to the Urban Wildland 5K, and to inform the community about Richfield’s history. The Richfield Plant Sale, hosted by the Richfield Garden Club, was the first event back in May. For the last two weeks, I also collected donations at the church I belong to, House of Prayer. My community members have really supported the city of Richfield, my fitness goals, and the Richfield Historical Society. I’m proud to say that I’ve already reached the $500 goal and now I want to reach $750 in donations for the Richfield Historical Society. You can help me reach my new goal of $750 by donating at www.razoo.com/story/Nathan-S-5k.
